An electrifying evening
The Porsche Global Dealer Launch in Singapore began with an array of captivating pre-show activities. Delegates enjoyed a sumptuous dinner at the Ritz Carlton hotel, followed by an enchanting boat cruise from Esplanade Jetty to Marina Bay Sands, which offered stunning views of Singapore's vibrant cityscape.
The highlight was the Macan reveal. Against the iconic backdrop of Marina Bay, drones took flight, weaving through the night sky as water and light projections added to the spectacle. Dynamic dance and drum performances from Singaporean artists culminated in the grand reveal of the Macan, as well as Porche’s new Panamera and all-electric Taycan models.
Adding to the glamour of the Global Dealer Launch on March 20, Porsche’s global ambassador Dua Lipa made a surprise appearance. The pop star flew into Singapore for a whirlwind 24 hours where she engaged with the event’s attendees, taking selfies, and sharing moments that would become treasured memories for many3.
Reflecting on the vehicle reveal show, French delegate Éléa Chabot, International Project Manager at RCM, a Porsche dealer in France said: “It was mesmerising and very emotional. Having this unique and beautiful experience with Porsche in Singapore is something I will remember for a long time.”
Setting the wheels in motion
The following day, delegates got behind the wheel of Porsche's latest offerings. A guided convoy of 65 Porsche cars set off from the Ritz Carlton, painting a striking image as they journeyed to the Changi Exhibition Centre.
There, a specially designed test track allowed delegates to experience the Macan’s agility and speed, particularly the Turbo variant’s 630 horsepower4. With its twists and turns, the track offered a safe and exciting showcase of the vehicle's capabilities — free from the constraints of public road speed limits.
Further enriching the test drive experience was a showroom which showcased the Macan’s various colour options and accessories, offering a comprehensive view of the car's aesthetics and functionality.
For Jo Peeters, Head of Marketing and Communication at Porsche Belgium, Singapore was the perfect backdrop for the launch. “The innovation in Singapore mirrors the innovation we see in the car,” he said. Adding that Singapore is the top place to visit in his bucket list, Mr Peeters said he cherished the opportunity to connect with fellow Porsche enthusiasts from around the world.
Following the test drive, delegates attended various workshops at the Porsche Studio at Guoco Midtown and the Ritz Carlton Ballroom. These sessions delved into critical business topics like marketing strategies and customer engagement, imparting useful insights that delegates could apply within their own markets.
